In many communities, the gift of good vision comes in the form of reading glasses and sunglasses through a vital partnership with our non-profit partner, RestoringVision. Since 2008, FGX has donated more than 17 million pairs of eyewear to RestoringVision, helping millions of people living in poverty across the globe to see clearly and protect their sight. FGX has increased our commitment to RestoringVision through the Specs for Specs program to engage our ecommerce customers. Through this program, FGX donates one pair of reading glasses for every pair of eyewear purchased by U.S. customers on FosterGrant.com. FGX is honored to be RestoringVision’s largest donor of glasses as we strive to meet the global goal of EssilorLuxottica: to eradicate poor vision worldwide by 2050.
We have developed our culture to support diversity and inclusion across our company.
We want to ensure that all employees have the opportunity to learn more about what diversity–diversity of culture, background, and experiences–means to all of us. With this in mind, we created Diversity Insights, an employee-developed and led team which helps to educate the FGX team on diversity and inclusion topics via newsletters, guest speakers and interactive fireside chats. We are also developing ways to reach diverse talent, which will enrich our recruitment and retention.
Sustaining Our Planet
As the global designer and marketer of millions of pairs of eyewear annually, FGX is committed to operating in more sustainable ways. Our journey includes examining all steps of the eyewear development journey, from development to transportation to end of life recycling, and determining how we can enhance our processes and materials. FGX is committed to a multi-year plan to ensure we protect our environment and minimize our carbon footprint.
