Community Commitment
Making a difference in the lives of others is part of our daily focus at FGX International. We participate in a number of programs designed to provide support to organizations dedicated to improving our way of life, on a local and national level. FGX International donates sunglasses and reading glasses to a number of clinics, under-developed nations, etc. to help give the gift of sight to the less fortunate. We also participate in fundraising events for the American Heart Association, United Way, Boys Club and local school organizations and regularly-scheduled appointments with the Rhode Island Blood Center. In 2009, FGXI also became environmentally responsible by introducing a line of eco-friendly reading glasses made of recycled materials.
At FGX International, we take community commitment seriously and understand it is our responsibility to be a good corporate citizen by participating in these programs.
Sincerely,
Alec Taylor

Angel Pink Hope

Angel sends a pink message of hope this year in partnership with The Keep A Breast Foundation. This year, we have adapted one of our newest styles - the Wonder - to reflect our dedication to breast Cancer awareness and prevention.
Blending cause and style, the Pink Hope Wonder will evoke strong personal style and conviction. With a classical frame design and Roman-inspired temple detailing, the Wonder projects a level of sophistication and femininity.
Angel Eyewear is an advocate of regular screenings and early detection. With your help, we promise to donate $5 for every Pink Hope Wonder sold to The Keep A Breast Foundation - our way of supporting their efforts to heighten awareness. Angel’s Pink Hope, because everyone needs an angel watching over them.
FGX International is truly making a difference…
For the past several years, FGX International and its employees have raised money for the American Heart Association. FGXI employees proudly show off their true colors during the AHA's "Wear Red Day" during the month of February, which is Heart Month. FGXI also sponsored the 20th Annual Southern New England Start! Heart Walk.
FGX International is sponsoring The Providence Black Repertory Company and their Sound Session '09. The PBRC will be hosting the FGXI Afterwork Jazz and Blues Series on July 8th, 9th and 10th between 5 and 7PM. Artists include Leonard Brown, Paul Williams and the Marc Cary Trio.

FGX International is a sponsor of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence, whose mission is to inspire youth and children, especially those from diverse or difficult circumstances, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and healthy members of their community, the state of Rhode Island and the nation. We are proud to sponsor such an inspiring organziation within the FGXI community.
FGXI is very excited to be working with the United Way of Rhode Island, initiating an employee program during the summer of 2008. FGXI chose to work the United Way because of their stellar reputation and the work they have been doing in its immediate communities for over 80 years. The United Way works to address the issues Rhode Islanders care about most and works with a broad range of people and organizations to identify resoloving pressing community needs. Several FGXI employees have proudly contributed to the United Way of Rhode Island.
FGX International is a proud sponsor of a local organization, VIPS (Volunteers in Providence Schools), an award-winning non-profit educational organization dedicated to enabling Providence's public school students to succeed in school. FGXI has made several donations to support VIPS in their continuing efforts to provide Providence public school students with educational support services and personalized help they need to grow academically and socially.
The Jimmy Fund Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is another organization that FGX International has sponsored, specifically to the Andrew T. Sarkisian Memorial Golf Tournament for the past two years. Since its founding in 1948, the Jimmy Fund has supported the fight against cancer in children and adults at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world.
FGX International donated reading glasses to the Rhode Island Free Clinic, the state's only clinic exclusively providing free comprehensive primary care, prevention education and specifically referrals to the uninsured. FGXI's charitable donation is a demonstration of its admirable values and commitment to helping the state's most vulnerable population.
